3 generations strong
Our Story…..
In 1963 Otto Calvert was like most people in the “Greatest Generation” era. He believed if he worked hard and always did the right thing he would be not only be fulfilled personally but also provide a service that truly helped his neighbors while providing a modest lifestyle for his family. One day he cut a hole in the roof of his loving wife Wanda’s station wagon and dropped a tank for chemicals in it and Otto’s Exterminators was born! Otto and his son Steve ran the business while Wanda ran the office out of their home until Otto passed away from Alzheimer's disease in 2007 and Steve took the reins and kept the legacy going. Gene Hendren, who is married to Otto's grandaughter, was trained in the mid 90's as a termite specialist and is still with the team today. Steve then retired in 2010 and his other son Mike Calvert kept the dream alive. As we prepare to celebrate 55 years of service, Mike’s son Scott is joining the team with Gene to keep the spirit of Ottos exterminators alive and well while maintaining the core values that has kept this business thriving for almost 6 decades. Scott brings a fresh look at the business and is working to improve an already exceptional company while keeping Ottos core values of working hard, doing the right thing and always keeping the customers needs at the forefront. Over the years Otto’s Exterminators has thrived by only word of mouth so recently we thought if our over 2000 customers love our service and reliability and benefit tremendously from our services, then more people should know and get the right service at the right price!
