There are 3 types of Roaches that are most common to the Central Missouri Area:
American Cockroach.
This cockroach has the largest body size and has the longest life cycle of about 700 days. They are reddish brown and approx 1.6 inches x .28 inches. German Cockroach. This cockroach is a smaller sized roach that is approx .43-.63 inches and can vary from tan to black with 2 dark parellel streaks on its back. Brown Banded Cockroach. This cockroach is also small, tan to light brown and has 2 light bands across the belly and wings. |

- Rusty or reddish stains on bed sheets or mattresses caused by bed bugs being crushed.
- Dark spots (about this size: •), which are bed bug excrement and may bleed on the fabric like a marker would.
- Eggs and eggshells, which are tiny (about 1mm) and pale yellow skins that nymphs shed as they grow larger.
- Live bed bugs.
